Private Guitar Lessons
Branden Hendricks
The beginning class is an introductory class offering instruction on basic guitar principles. Learn how to tune the instrument, basic chords, power chords, and strumming. Students will be exposed to different styles of music. The Intermediate class continues instruction on basic & intermediate guitar principles. Learn additional chords, tabulator and intermediate strumming techniques. Students will be introduced to many different styles of music; classical, rock, blues, folk, pop and praise music. Bring your own guitar & pick. (6 classes)

Private Piano Lessons

Lessons will be once a week for one-half hour. No prior musical experience is necessary. Students will learn to read music and study technique, rhythm, theory and ear training. Intermediate/Advanced students will continue from current level of experience. Methods taught will adapt to the skills, level, and learning patterns/abilities of the individual student. Lessons are generally structured as half technique, and the other half repertoire, sight-reading, ear training, and theory (if necessary). For beginner and intermediate students, technical foundation is built before exploring repertoire. Students must have access to a piano or keyboard with full size keys for practice. 6 - ½ hour classes scheduled with the instructor.

Children Fine Arts

Tiles, Stones and Babbles Mosaic

Join us as we use the traditional mosaic technique to create and unique and beautiful mirror, tray or wall piece. We will learn how to cut glass and tile, design, adhere and grout the pieces to make a beautiful finished work of art! Materials Fee $10. (6 Classes)

Painting for Children I

Through inspirational open ended activities children will explore brush stroke, texture and shape in an informative and imaginative manner. Children will experience a dynamic interactive ever changing process that is the essence of painting. (6 Classes)

Intermediate/Advanced Painting

This class will build on basic painting skills to develop the students unique painting style using the fundamentals and principles of art including composition, perspective and design. Children's Printmaking

Every child will have the opportunity to create their unique graphic designs using amazing & intriguing printing processes. Those being taught will be silk screening, mono print, recessed & incised block printing. (6 Classes)

Ceramic Musical Instruments

Create beautiful functioning ceramic whistle, rattle and ocarina from clay. Learn beautiful design and decoration techniques. All pieces will be fired and glazed, with brief playing instructions at the end of the session. (6 Classes)

Sculpture

Hand-building techniques including pinch, coil and slab will be incorporated into a variety of sculptural forms, plus a project appropriate to the season will be presented. All pieces will be glazed and fired. Wheel-throwing will be demonstrated. (6 Classes)

Wheel Throwing

Basic and intermediate wheeling throwing techniques will be taught. This session we will focus on mugs, bowls and plates, working in a studio environment. We will explore different decorating and glazing techniques. The last class is spent decorating the work with stains, oxides and under glazes. (6 classes meeting 2 times per week)

Silk Screening
Alex Garcia
Silkscreen, one of the most versatile and widely used methods of printmaking, will be fully explored in this course through demonstrations and self-initiated projects. Painters as well as photographers will find a new way of expressing their ideas through screen printing. Images can be made using hand-drawn separations, photographic film, digital separations and photocopied images. Large-scale work and printing on canvas, T-shirts, wood, metal and glass are all possible with silkscreen. Water-based silkscreen ink is used, allowing for soap-and-water cleanup. Supply list will be given at first class. (6 classes).
