The idea for the Empty Bowls project is simple…

Potters and other  caring individuals create and donate handmade ceramic bowls.

Guests come to the Empty Bowls Benefit at First Christian Church to purchase a hand made bowl and enjoy a simple meal of soup and bread donated by generous local restaurants.

At the end of the meal participants take home their bowls to remind them that many people in our own community are left with empty bowls; and by participating in the Empty Bowls Project they have contributed to the solution.
